RULES FOR SUBMITTING MATERIALS

Scientific articles are accepted for publication only if they are prepared in strict accordance with the established rules for submitting materials for publication.

Materials and proofs sent by authors are not returned.

The Scientific Journal publishes articles in the following scientific areas: technical and technological sciences, agronomy, veterinary medicine, plant and animal biology, agricultural sciences, water resources, economic and environmental problems of agriculture.

The decision on publication is made by the journal's editorial board based on the expert evaluations of the reviewers.

Each issue publishes articles by domestic and foreign authors, with scientific articles by authors not affiliated with the publisher constituting at least 50% (fifty percent) of the total number of publications in the journal issue.

Preference is given to articles prepared in English with complete trilingual (English, Kazakh, Russian) metadata (abstract, keywords, references, authors' information). At the same time, each issue publishes at least one article in Kazakh and at least one article in Russian.

In the selection of articles, preference is given to works by foreign authors who have significant experience in scientific publishing, including publications in the international databases Scopus or Web of Science, with a H-index ≥ 5. For such authors, who are not affiliated with Kazakhstani organizations, publication is provided free of charge and is considered on a priority basis.

The article submitted to the editorial office must comply with the journal's profile and thematic focus, the rules for manuscript submission by authors, and be of an open nature. The presence of a restrictive classification stamp (security clearance) serves as grounds for rejecting the material from open publication.

Submission of an article for publication in the scientific journal is carried out exclusively in electronic form on the journal's website (https://journal.kaznaru.edu.kz/index.php/research) after registration in the author's personal account for correspondence, specifying all data of the article and its authors.

During the stages of working with the manuscript, communication between the editorial office, the corresponding author, and the reviewers is carried out via the online platform on the journal's website, or in exceptional cases, via email at kaznau_statya@kaznaru.edu.kz.

The editorial office of the scientific journal, when considering the manuscript for compliance with formal requirements (manuscript formatting), also checks the manuscript for the presence of borrowed text using a plagiarism checking system.

Only original articles whose originality, according to the results of the anti-plagiarism system check, is 70% or more, are sent for further peer review. If the manuscript does not comply with the journal's formatting requirements and is not an original work based on the plagiarism check results, it is returned to the author for making appropriate changes and resubmitting it for consideration by the editorial board via the journal's electronic platform.

PROCEDURE FOR PEER REVIEW OF SCIENTIFIC MANUSCRIPTS

Materials received from the author undergo an initial check for completeness and correctness of formatting according to the requirements (Appendix).

The Editor-in-Chief (Deputy Editor-in-Chief) of the journal sends the article for peer review according to the direction of the journal section.

Reviewing is conducted by the method of double-blind peer review. All reviewers must adhere to the ethical requirements of scientific publications, be objective, and impartial. The identity of the reviewers is also not disclosed to the authors or other reviewers. Reviewers, including foreign ones, who are experts in the relevant field of research, are appointed by the Editor-in-Chief from among leading specialists in the article's profile, who have publications in the international databases Web of Science or Scopus or a Hirsch index of at least 2 (two).

Reviewers must declare their relationships and actions that might influence their assessment of the manuscript and withdraw from the review process if an actual or potential conflict of interest exists regarding the manuscript under consideration. Specifically, the reviewer cannot be an author or co-author of the reviewed work, a scientific supervisor of the degree-seeking author, or an employee of the department where any of the article's authors work.

The review is conducted confidentially. If the article is rejected by the reviewers, authors will be sent a rejection notification stating the reasons for the rejection. The maximum review period for articles does not exceed three weeks.

If the reviewer recommends the article for publication after revision considering the comments, or does not recommend the article for publication, the review must state the reasons for such a decision.

An article requiring revision is sent to the author with the reviewer's comments. The author must incorporate all necessary corrections into the final revised electronic version of the manuscript and return it to the journal's editorial office within 3 days.

After revision, the article is considered in the general procedure. The article is re-reviewed, and the journal's editorial office makes a decision on the possibility of its publication.

Upon a positive assessment by the reviewer and the communication of the editorial board's decision to the author(s), it is necessary to pay the publication fee and send a scanned copy of the payment receipt to the email address: kaznau_statya@kaznaru.edu.kz.

Claims without confirmation of the article's acceptance for publication are not considered. Articles paid late, provided they have been accepted for publication, automatically move to the next issue or are withdrawn from publication with a notification to the corresponding author.

After the journal's editor checks the manuscript text for spelling and syntactical errors, the article is published in the next issue of the journal.

The journal's editorial office stores the manuscripts of articles and their reviews for three calendar years.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTIES

The Owner of the scientific journal, the Editorial Council, and the Editorial Board are not responsible for the reliability of the information provided by the authors of the research.

By submitting the manuscript of the article to the scientific journal, the author accepts personal responsibility for the originality of the research, for the correctness and accuracy of the data, facts, citations, proper names, geographical names, surnames, initials, and other information provided by them, as well as for the inclusion of data in the article that are not subject to open publication, and entrusts the owner of the scientific journal to make the work public through its publication in print.

By submitting the text of the article for publication in the scientific journal, the author guarantees the correctness of all information about themselves, the absence of plagiarism and other forms of unlawful borrowing in the article's manuscript, and the proper formatting of all borrowings of text, tables, diagrams, and illustrations. The authors of published materials are responsible for the selection and accuracy of the facts, citations, statistical data, and other information provided.

Adherence to ethical standards in preparing a publication is directly related to ensuring the scientific integrity of the research. In this regard, the editorial office pays special attention not only to the correctness of formatting borrowings but also to methodological transparency, which allows for the verification and reproducibility of the results obtained.

Reproducibility: Authors of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed, as well as an ** objective discussion** of its significance. In every original article, the reproducibility of research results is ensured, and the research methodology is described, indicating the origin of equipment and materials (company, country), methods of statistical data processing, and other ways of ensuring reproducibility.

Data Sharing: Upon request from the editorial office, authors must provide the raw data of the study and be prepared to provide open access to such data, if practically feasible, and in any case, must be prepared to retain this data for 5 years after publication.

Borrowing/Citations: Authors of the article must provide original work. In case of using the works and/or quotes of other authors, bibliographic references to the source are mandatory.

Plagiarism is considered the deliberate appropriation of authorship of someone else's work of science, thoughts, art, or invention. Plagiarism may be a violation of copyright law and patent law and, as such, may entail the legal liability of the author.

Originality: An author should not publish works that describe, in essence, the same research, in more than one journal or primary publication. Submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is unacceptable.

The author guarantees that they have the exclusive rights to use the material transferred to the scientific journal. In case of violation of this guarantee and the submission of claims against the owner of the scientific journal and/or the editorial board in connection therewith, the author undertakes to settle all claims independently and at their own expense. The owner of the scientific journal and the editorial board are not liable to third parties for the violation of these guarantees by the author.

Submission of materials for publication in the scientific journal implies the author's consent to the above requirements.

Adherence to copyright and transparency of scientific contribution are interconnected principles of academic ethics. Along with the guarantee of exclusive rights to the published material, the editorial office requires a clear definition of the individual contribution of each participant in the research.

To ensure transparency, relevant authors should contribute to the co-authorship of the manuscript using the appropriate CRediT roles (Contributor Roles Taxonomy). The CRediT taxonomy includes 14 different roles describing the specific contribution of each participant to the scientific outcomes.

Roles: Conceptualization; Data Curation; Formal Analysis; Funding Acquisition; Investigation; Methodology; Project Administration; Resources; Software; Supervision; Validation; Visualization; Writing – Original Draft; Writing – Review & Editing.

It should be noted that not all roles may apply to every manuscript, and authors are expected to contribute by performing multiple roles.

The description of the co-authors' contributions is provided at the end of the article under the heading "Author Contributions" after the "Author Information" section.

Other contributors to the work may be listed in the "Acknowledgments" section. In this case, all co-authors (represented by the corresponding author) must approve the final, editorially agreed-upon version of the article and its publication in the journal.

Conflict of Interest: Upon submission of the article, the author(s) must report the presence or absence of a conflict of interest.

Amendments After Publication, Retraction of Articles

If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must notify the journal's editorial office and cooperate with the editorial office to retract or correct the article.

In the event of detecting violations of publication ethics (plagiarism, data manipulation, simultaneous submission to different journals, guest authorship, conflict of interest, etc.) in a submitted manuscript or published article, the author is obliged to cooperate with the editorial office to restore the infringed rights, and upon detection of errors, to facilitate the publication of corrections or retractions. Reports of unethical behavior are considered regardless of the article's publication date.

Copyright: The rights to the manuscript accepted for publication are transferred to the Publisher of the journal. When reprinting all or part of the material, authors are obliged to cite the primary publication in this journal.

Publication Accessibility

The journal adheres to a policy of immediate open access to published content, supporting the principles of free dissemination of scientific information and global knowledge exchange for overall social progress. All journal articles are available in full-text online immediately after the release of the current issue. The journal archive is available online on the journal's website from 2019 to the present.

The articles published in this journal are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution — Non Commercial 4.0 International), which provides only for their non-commercial use. Editorial Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Scientific Publications

The journal editorial office recognizes the potential of generative AI as a tool for text processing, data analysis, and optimization of scientific work. However:

  • Authors bear full responsibility for the content of the article, including data accuracy, originality, and ethical soundness.

  • The use of AI does not exempt authors from adhering to academic integrity standards (plagiarism, data fabrication, etc.).

Declaring the Use of AI:

  • If AI was used at any stage (text writing, editing, code/formula generation, data visualization), this must be clearly indicated in the "Methods and Materials" or "Acknowledgments" section, describing: The name of the tool (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.); The specific method of application (e.g., "for text translation," "for structure optimization").

  • AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author.

  • The editorial office reserves the right to reject an article if the use of AI has led to inaccuracies, contradictions, or incorrect references.

  • AI should only be used for auxiliary tasks: proofreading, grammar checking, structuring.

  • All statements, formulas, and conclusions must be verified by the authors.

Articles created exclusively by AI without substantial author contribution are not accepted for publication.
