Abstract

The sources of phytopreparations are medicinal plants that are valued all over the world and which may disappear in an era of climate change. One such source is the walnut. Walnut is a member of the genus Juglans L. in the family Juglandaceae. The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of different concentrations of growth stimulants on different Juglans regia еffigia explants using microclonal propagation technology, where mature trees were taken as mother plants. This study is designed to produce an additional medicinal source of raw materials in the form of callus or suspension cultures. The best results were achieved when the explants were initiated on DKW culture medium using 1 and 10 mg/l BAP, 5 and 10 mg/l TDZ. After 20 days, the average number of shoots formed was 2-5 per callus, with a shoot height of 1.6-2.7 cm.
